| What does this all mean for OSS? Is there things that OSS can now work with, work at, with the rules now relaxed. There is another fledgling supporters group with kids in it being casually discussed around about, don't know if it's gunna happen, but sounds like it might be a good thing to get involved in IF it happens. Will let you know if anything comes to fruition. |

I've asked for clarification of how this all works, and where OSS fits in.
We have mainly all been in South End recently, in two pockets, so perhaps we want to start by asking to be part of the South End allocation?
In the longer term, we might need to look at where best fits our needs, if we want flags etc.
We may not even be able to be a single group in a single location. |

| IMO if we take the south end, were we used to be, over on the OTHER side from where the "south end" is, where we once were, we can have flags, we can have instruments, maybe we can even have a megaphone, seeing the south end don't want to use one. I would REALLY LOVE to see OSS return and take control and be active and unreal and colourful and pave our own path. |

Eventually perhaps.
I'm not sure we are ready for that yet, though.
And certainly not on a school night. |

I think we would all love to see happening Daydream. I think it is something that we can work towards for next season. I agree with CLM that the ACL matches which are on a weeknigt etc. may not be good to try this.
But, if this is the model that Telstra Dome will accept for next season the ACL matches will gives us the opportunity to see the lie of the land and organise accordingly. _________________

Back to this discussion......
What does the successful negotiations for the NT and the SE?
I'm thinking about this, and thinking, if the active supporters groups have a ticketing arrangement, and have been approved for whatever it is they have been approved for, does that extend out around the ground? does it in fact mean what they have purported to have won for ALL active supporters actually mean that all active supporters have access to these concessions, or does it ONLY EXTEND tot he ticketed area in the north? Where the statemernt says both ends will be allowed mega's and instruments, does that mean JUST in the nominated areas, for the nominated people?
Have we in fact got MORE freedom to support as we wish, or are we RESTRICTED still due to being OUTSIDE of the terrace? AND does the terrce arrangement mean that if we have such things as banners., balloons, kazoos, as we did last season, we will be redirected to the "active terraces", where we are not welcome, or will we be able to be where we are.
I think my question is do we NEED an active families area, or have we always had that available to us? Does the NT protests mean that everywhere outside of the active supporters (non-family section, LOL) will continue to be policed for contraband paraphenalia.
I wonder if they will allow streamers to be used back in the gold members section........now wouldn't that be ironic?
SO my question is, has there been an area with EXTRA exclusive GA area with extra concessions created and the rest of the stadium remains as it was, OR has there been established a wholesale relaxing of restrictions for all supporters, in which case there need not be any active family supporters area.... |

My reading of the statement is this:
Both ends are recognised as active support. Both ends are allowed to stand, to bring in oversize flags by arrangement, to bring in musical instruments by arrangement.
The same (relaxed) rules have been applied to both ends.
In addition, two bays of the home end have been reserved for the NT.
(They are the two bays on the edge, in front of the Locker Room I believe.)
These two bays will have reserved ticketing, which will be managed by the NT. The process for getting access to those bays will be to pass the 'active and respected North Terrace regular' test, as per the last game last season.
The means that we can stand anywhere at either end that we can carve out a spot for ourselves, except the NT bays, which we can only enter with their approval.
I take it from this, that OSS as a group, or any clusters of families who choose to, could take up residence at any place in the ends, without fear of TD interference.
This may not, however, make it that much easier for us to carve out a third space straight away. |
