One of the downfalls of OSS was that we could not organise pissup in an establishment where beer is fermented and produced.
However I am the eternal optimist (and anyway if I don't get the idea out there nothing will happen - so it's a no loss situation).
How about if the 'OSS' meets for a xmas picnic/drinks whatever?
To make it easy maybe we could meet before the two home matches at park near Telstra Dome.
See the map below. There is Docklands Park, Batman Park, and Enterprize Park.
I know a bit about Batman Park, nothing to scream about, but it is on the River which is nice.
The match with Adelaide is on Saturday 8 at 7.00 pm. While the one with Newcastle is on Sunday 16 at 5 pm.
Otherwise we could meet another time but I am sure your social calendar will be already full to the brim at this time of the year, and meeting before a match near the ground may be the only way that we could meet.
Anyway...it's an idea. _________________

It would be great
I am unlikely to be able to commit, cos I may have family events come up at short notice
but I would try |

Not likely at the moment for me, I have massive amounts on my plate and am highly stressed.....but if something does happen, please let me know, if we're having a good day we might be able to make the effort.
Saturdays are always out though, I've got social football. If you all wanted to you could come down to that, it's not at all far from TD.... |

Sunday 16 is looking up a bit.
My sister will be gone earlier that day, and salsa classes will have finished for the year.
So maybe... |

some people meeting at Lounge Room at New Quay from 3.00pm
TA, Gweeds, Rollins, Philly, DD
welcome to join us
I'll be getting in after 3.30 - walking from North Melbourne
I'm out from 11.45, so mobile me if you need
it's not a pub Philly
it is a bar that opens onto the New Quay waterfront, with an icecream shop nearby, and space to run around, and we chose that area so people could bring kids
I'll have mine |
