I don't have pay TV or have ever watched Al Jazeera, but I did catch the movie The Control Room, which is about Al Jazeera and the media centre during the beginning of the Iraq war. Gives a very very interesting perspective of things, is also very interesting to see the US fella heading the media circus and how his perspective is challenged and how he has his eyes opened (a bit, not that it changes anything) to the other side of the story, every other media group there are aligned to the "allies", except Al Jazeera.
Have a look at it and tell me what you think, would be interested to hear your opinion. |

| Interesting could be worth a look, if i watch the news it's sbs as the media always manipulate stories to suit, agendas. |

It sure is another view of theMiddle East DD. I have found it interesting to see the other pointof view ,for a change. Today, they interviewed a lady from SArabia, whose husband is locked away in Guantanamo. The lady wore afull veil . Apparently it is not available in the US
Al Jazeera is on OPTUS C 1, same satellite as Foxtel and Imparja and aboriginal tv. 12367V 3/4 27800 vid1121 aud1122 |

Yeah but they're on FTA for central australia, I think it would be a brillinat thing to have it as a nationally available FTA channel, remind people of whose land we're on....tis easy to ignore when you live in the city.
I strongly believe we should have a national indigneous television station, but I suppose that's not going to happen anytime in the near future, but Imparja COULD be a starting point.... |

Who's land we're on?
My office building is owned by ING Office Trust... but I'm sure that would make for some pretty boring tv... |

I'd watch it Jonk, reality Tv at it's best.
Technically all land is owned by the Crown, people/companys only ever own the right to use it. Australias indigneous tribes have logged many claims against the Crown so who knows. :P
Watched the news last night to see all the G20 violence, first protester arrested was a immigrant from Turkey, how did i know what was coming next. :x :x :x |
