It seems that since our announcement (and maybe because of the positive response) there has been two announcements of new groups. First the 'Victory' group and now this other one called Vc
This is what they posted on the Dark Side:
Quote: Don’t really use the forums but I just thought I’d let people know about our group of lads – some of you blokes may want to join us. We are 30 or so in number, a group of lads who go to home games and have been doing so for since the victory started and we are getting bigger every week.
We call ourselves the VC
Here we go
- We are all 25 – 40 yr olds, most politically left leaning with anarchic, radical tendencies.
- Most of us are professionals
- We are not really structured, usually 1 or 2 blokes will message everyone with what pub we will meet at and where we will sit.
- We like to, slag off, chant, swear etc and don’t give a **** about politically correct twats.
- We don’t mind a scrap, (although it’s mainly been amongst ourselves after we all get too pissed)
- We hate all the little f*#ks who think they are hard cos they sit with the BWB and co, so we tend to avoid the NT.
- Basically, the football is our release from work and we don’t want to be told how to behave.
If you think this is you and just want to have fun with the lads, send me a PM
Cheers

Apart from their professed 'left leaning anarchic' tendencies they are not our sort of group. Swearing drinking and 'scrapping' and all 'lads' :P
Again hard to know whether it is a pisstake, as that contributor joined the forum today. However he does offer to PM him..unlike the 'Victory' group. :? |

Until we see them at the ground, then its hard to tell.
With out banners and stuff we're pretty visible, and will only get bigger.
I think some of these new groups are much more casual than ours, with less direction. I'm hoping we can keep growing.
I'm bringing at least 8 people to the CCM match, possible more. |

I'm working on getting a few new people too. (But you seem to be better at it, Topher. :( )
I'm not sure about these new groups. But we are always very suss on new things on the dark side.
The first mob are sounding more real - one of them did a post about how he was all fired up to support a team like Victory, but has been stuck in Canberra ever since they started up.
The other mob sounds pretty plausible, but their offer of a pm is a little hollow given that they not enabled pms  |
