As you all probably know by now the South End has been shafted by Telstra Dome.

This may affect people here how liked to be near the South End.

It seems that the commited South Ender may join the Committed North Ender on Level 3.

I was wondering whether we may want to join them (not be with them, just be on Level 3)

:( noooooooooo i am not a happy little vegemite.
i can not believe this, my god we only get big away supporters to a few of our home games.
oh well i really do not know what the hell i will be doing now, i love standing but not really on level3 - scary

The issue is this.

The South End is no more because it will be locked away for away supporters.

There is talk that the committed regular South end will join the North on level 3.

So for those who liked to stay on Level 1 there is the North End (whoever stay there since many will may move to L3) The Gold section for South End supporter, but it is a sit down area, or anywhere else at GA on L1 for that matter. But again it is a sit down area (although maybe people at the back can stand like they allowed us last year).

So even if we stay apart, what you guys are going to do?

This is the new seating plan.

Interesting that they made our 'old area' a dry area now. Which means that there may be less people wanting to go there.

Maybe we can go back there if any of us would like to forfeit alcohol!

Bloody hell, what a FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY for us to take up primo wing seats!!!!! I reckon the wing next to the gold reserve on L1 would be a great viewing area.....
Also might be fun to start up a few chants, I have one in particular I'd love to give a run to,

I will be in that. But not this Saturday as I will be in election mode.

I reckon they did this cos too many OSS people were setting up in the south end - everytime we settle on an area they change the rules on us.

I'll be in election mode too for tomorrow.

On the wing there would be great - do you think we would get away with standing though?

The kids wouldn't mind the dry area - but it may be all polite and sitting down, which won't suit them.

Depends how many people are there. In the current dry area is so empty that if you stood in the front no one would be bothered.

Then for them the only option is with the 'muzzas' (whoever they are) on North End Level 1 or with BWB+South End etc. on Level 3 it seems!

Reading through the threads on the darkside, I think the areas on the wings will be pretty packed, and sitting will be enforced.

The announcement is explicit about only allowing standing at the end - aisles 48 - 5.

Looking like the only choice for standing is the sardine can, and sitting will be enforced everywhere else.

I don't know how they hope to enforce sitting, mind you.

I've been boycotting all TD purchases, so in theory would be fine with the dry area.
Will probably be L3 Sat. enforced sitting at the football is not an option for me.

I sat with slab and rob and a parent from our class and about 12 kids on Saturday, I'm DEFINITELY sticking with them, I think they're wonderful and the kids ROCK!!!! All around Kobe's age, bit older, bit younger, girls and boys, we went for an all in kickabout at half time, very very cool! this week we sat up on L3 (which admittedly DOES freak me out) and on the wing, right on the centreline. don't know where we'll go next week, it's gunna be a "big" one, VS Adelaide.

I'm going to try to get in on the next meeting with Miles to represent the fact that the way they are dealing with the away fans now, and the closure of the South End is NOT family friendly, given the numbers of women and kids in the South End.

Some people in South End thread have proposed trying to establish a South End bay in the bays that have been opened up on the wing on L1.

I think I'll go for that.

I don't want to attempt standing on L3, at least not for now.

I'm going to strongly urge the fellas and the kids to go down to L1, as i did previously, but what do you know, the kids wanted to be on L3 because they reckon the view is better. Kids rule at the football, as we are all frustratingly aware of.

OOOOOOO, after thought!!!! Maybe instead of the PARENTS negotiating where we should all sit, maybe we should get all the KIDS TOGETHER to decide (seeing as they decide for us individually anyway), with a BIG HUGE MAP of TD on a BIG HUGE piece of butchers paper.
