We were too small last season. Quite a few people have expressed interest in joining us sometimes. We need to get the numbers up (they don't all have to be regulars).
We especially need some more vocal people.
How can we encourage people to spend at least a game or two with us?
I think once we get to a size where we are visible, and can be heard a tiny bit, more people will start to appear. (The North Terrace was tiny at the start too.) |

That is the $64 question! Hopefully the new position will allow us to be more visible and vocal.
Last season we were stuck at the back under the stands and we could nor be seen. If we can be more exposed this time we can make more purpose made 'OSS banners' so that other fans can see where we are and join us. I think a problem was that many people heard of us but did not know where we were. |

We didn't have enough numbers for the wing year, as not all of us sing for the full 90 minutes.
OSS was created to try & improve the atmosphere at Olympic Park, now punters can sit besides the north or south terrace if they wish to join in the action. If we are located in area 6 (down the front) we will be more visable for those who might wish to be more involved with something organised.
We could hand out chant sheets like we did on a few occations last season (with balloons etc) again.
I not fussed about growing in numbers to much, i'll be happy as long as punters don't turn around & stare at us like we are from out of space. :D |

Let me clarify that I am not looking to make us huge.
I think we need a couple more people to sing consistently, and start things, and our core of vocal people needs to be bigger. About double what is has been would be a big improvement imo.
My goals are:
• people who are with us who are singing cannot hear their own voices too clearly, so they feel more emboldened by anonymity (not having people turn to stare at us will help)
• we have enough critical mass in numbers and colour to put our stamp on the space, so people can find us when they wish to, and the pressure to come early might be lower
• one of us being absent for a game will not leave a gaping hole
I agree that a regular more visible spot, and some banners will help make us findable - and the indications are that there are people who want to find us.
Chant sheets are probably a good idea too. That means we'll have to work out our repertoire. |

Sounds realistic, it may also help if we can bunch up more in the new location instead of being spread over the last 2-3 rows

Indeed we do, apparently i failed to stick to it last time, or so ive been told. :icon_cheek:
A bay of willing participants for a decent sized display would also be nice. |

i hope that in future you can make the terrace a more enjoyable place by making it louder and also by adding colour.
i also hope with the move of other crews the whole 'north end' becomes huge and expands to 3 levels. your probly thinking what has this got to do with us, but with you down there active support can reach down there and if you could, maybe even follow tunnas lead. (i know you probly dont want to but that would be really good)
but this is an oss discussion so its up to you what you guys do |

| Why wouldn't we want to, we always tried to get the cnr wing join in with the south end (where applicable) & gold crew, Melbourne clap clap clap seemed to work ok. the north end sings that to fast mind you. |

we don't have a problem with joining in with chants started by Tunna
or fitting in with the NT generally
(although there are some lyrics we won't use)
wherever we go, we always try to lend our voices to any group that is near us
when we have been in the North Terrace, we have participated in chanting a displays organised by BWB
often we can't hear them well enough to join in, but that is another problem |
